ENVIRONMENT : Renewable Energy |
|||||||||||||||||
|
Hydro power is a renewable energy source, just like wind and solar power. Unlike fossil fuel (e.g. coal and gas) burning power stations, hydro-power schemes produce no waste products. Growing concerns over global warming make our schemes particularly desirable. Indeed, the UK government is now encouraging investment in the renewable energy sector. There are no problems with contamination of land or water, our power schemes have a very long lifetime and decommissioning costs are small.
