PROJECTS : Cwmorthin |
|||||||||||||||||
|
Cwmorthin is located in Snowdonia, North Wales. Much of this scheme lies in a slate quarry. The buried pipeline runs in a river bank alongside a public road, beneath the Ffestiniog narrow gauge railway to a buried powerhouse beneath a public picnic area. One slate-faced wall of the powerhouse gives access to the plant. Connection to the existing electricity network is by underground cable laid alongside the pipeline.
